Deliciously sweet and tart buttery-rich scones. Try substituting the dried cherries with dried apricots.

  • 1. Line a clean baking sheet with parchment paper then set aside
  • 2. Pre-heat oven - 190°C
  • 3. Add all purpose flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and unsalted butter to a clean large mixing bowl
  • 4. Mix until coarse crumbs form - low speed
  • 5. Add buttermilk, sour cream and vanilla extract to the dough
  • 6. Mix until dough forms - low speed
  • 7. Add dried cherries and chocolate chips
  • 8. Mix until combined - low speed
  • 9. Transfer dough onto baking sheet and flatten by hands
  • 10. Chill in the fridge - 30 min
  • 11. Cut dough into squares
  • 12. Arrange them in the baking sheet
  • 13. Bake until golden brown - 18 min, 190°C
  • 14. Transfer onto cooling rack
