Basic sweet, light, crumbly pastry for pies and tarts. Makes two single 9" tart shells.

  • All purpose flour icon

    Method

  • 1. Add all purpose flour, unsalted butter, powdered sugar and salt to a clean large mixing bowl
  • 2. Rub in until coarse crumbs form
  • 3. Add egg to the dough
  • 4. Mix gently until mixture comes together
  • 5. Wrap with plastic wrap
  • 6. Chill - approx 1 hr
