Is there a better way to start the day than with a short stack of golden, fluffy Buttermilk Pancakes? Probably not.
- Plain flour170 g
- Granulated sugar1 tablespoon
- Salt½ teaspoon
- Baking powder½ teaspoon
- Bicarbonate of soda¼ teaspoon
- Buttermilk250 ml
- Egg1
- Vanilla extract¼ teaspoon
- Unsalted butter30 g
Ingredients
- 1. Add plain flour, granulated sugar, salt, baking powder and bicarbonate of soda to a clean large mixing bowl
- 2. Whisk briefly until blended
- 3. Add buttermilk, egg and vanilla extract to the batter
- 4. Mix until just combined
- 5. Add unsalted butter to a clean small bowl
- 6. Melt in microwave
- 7. Mix content of small bowl into batter until just combined
- 8. Fry in frying pan - medium heat
- 9. Serve immediately
