    Method

  • 1. Add all purpose flour, salt, baking soda, cornstarch, poppy seeds and orange zest to a clean medium bowl and mix until combined
  • 2. Add unsalted butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract and orange extract to a clean large mixing bowl
  • 3. Beat together until smooth
  • 4. Add egg and egg yolk and mix until well combined
  • 5. Add dry ingredients to the mixture gradually and mix until combined
  • 6. Shape dough into a ball
  • 7. Wrap with plastic wrap
  • 8. Chill in fridge - 3 hr
  • 9. Pre-heat oven - 175°C / 350°F
  • 10. Line a clean baking sheet with parchment paper
  • 11. Roll out dough until 1/4" thick
  • 12. Cut out cookies
  • 13. Transfer cookies to baking sheet
  • 14. Chill in freezer - 5 min
  • 15. Bake cookies until browned at edges - 15 min, 175°C / 350°F
  • 16. Cool on baking sheet - approx 2 min
  • 17. Transfer cookies onto cooling rack and leave until completely cool
  • 18. Add white chocolate to a clean small glass bowl
  • 19. Melt - low heat
  • 20. Dip half of each cookie into melted chocolate
  • 21. Transfer cookies onto cooling rack until set
