A light and delicious baked doughnut, flavoured with nutmeg and rolled in cinnamon sugar. A fun, healthier alternative to their fried friends!

    Method

  • 1. Pre-heat oven - 171°C
  • 2. Grease 3 clean mini doughnut pans
  • 3. Add plain flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, nutmeg and salt to a clean large mixing bowl and mix
  • 4. Add salted butter to a clean medium bowl
  • 5. Melt - low heat
  • 6. Add buttermilk and egg to the medium bowl
  • 7. Mix until combined
  • 8. Transfer wet ingredients to batter
  • 9. Mix batter until just combined
  • 10. Pipe batter onto 3 mini doughnut pans
  • 11. Bake until springy to touch - 5 min, 171°C
  • 12. Add granulated sugar and ground cinnamon to a clean small bowl and mix until blended
  • 13. Add salted butter to a clean small glass bowl
  • 14. Melt in microwave
  • 15. Dip mini doughnut pans one by one
