A simple day-to-day pie crust that can be used with both sweet and savoury fillings. Makes enough to cover 2 single 9" dishes or 1 covered pie. Freeze or refrigerate for up to 3 days.

  • Plain flour icon

    Unsalted butter280 gcold, cubed
  • Water icon

    Method

  • 1. Add plain flour, salt and unsalted butter to a clean large mixing bowl
  • 2. Rub in until coarse crumbs form
  • 3. Add water to a clean small bowl
  • 4. Mix water into dough gradually until mixture comes together
  • 5. Wrap dough with plastic wrap
  • 6. Chill in fridge - approx 1 hr
