Warm apple-gingerbread spiced mini doughnuts with a smooth maple syrup glaze.

  • 1. Pre-heat oven - 175°C
  • 2. Grease 2 clean mini doughnut pans
  • 3. Add all purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, allspice, ground cloves, salt and brown sugar to a clean large mixing bowl
  • 4. Whisk briefly until combined
  • 5. Add egg, milk and applesauce to the batter
  • 6. Add unsalted butter to a clean small bowl
  • 7. Melt - low heat
  • 8. Add melted butter to the batter and mix until combined
  • 9. Transfer batter to 2 mini doughnut pans
  • 10. Bake until springy to touch - 7 min, 175°C
  • 11. Add unsalted butter, brown sugar, maple syrup, milk and powdered sugar to a clean saucepan and mix
  • 12. Heat until just boiling
  • 13. Dip each mini doughnut into glaze
  • 14. Let set onto cooling rack
  • 15. Let cool until set
