This amazing sauce is so good for so many things. I am LOVING it. Think anything that needs a Mexican spicy kicker in the flavour base. YUM.

  • Garlic clove icon

  • Cumin seeds icon
    Cumin seeds2 teaspoons
  • Extra virgin olive oil icon
    Extra virgin olive oil40 g
  • Cilantro stems icon
    Cilantro stems4 sprigs
  • Crushed tomatoes icon
    Crushed tomatoes800 g
  • Pink himalayan salt flakes icon
    Pink himalayan salt flakes2 pinches
  • Dark brown sugar icon
    Dark brown sugar2 tablespoons

  • 1. Add dried chilies, garlic clove, cumin seeds, extra virgin olive oil and cilantro stems to the TM5 bowl
  • 2. Chop with MC in place - approx 5 sec, speed 6
  • 3. Scrape down sides of TM5 bowl
  • 4. Sauté - approx 8 min, Varoma, speed 1
  • 5. Then add crushed tomatoes, pink Himalayan salt flakes, dark brown sugar and lime to the TM5 bowl
  • 6. Mix with MC in place - approx 6 sec, speed 6
  • 7. Then stir cilantro into the TM5 bowl
  • 8. Serve
