When you need BBQ sauce for anything, there is very little that can successfully replace it. So here is your go to. It will keep for literally ages!

    Method

  • 1. Place carrot, onion, garlic and butter into Thermomix bowl
  • 2. Chop with MC on - 6 sec, speed 7
  • 3. Cook - 5 min, Varoma, speed 1
  • 4. Add remaining ingredients
  • 5. Blend with MC on - 10 sec, speed 4
  • 6. Cook - 1 hr, 80°C, speed 1, MC off
  • 7. Check consistency and cook longer if you like a thicker sauce
  • 8. Taste for heat, add more chipotle chili and re-blend if desired
  • 9. Otherwise, pour into sterilized jars and keep refrigerated between uses
